Non-Directive/Child Centered Play Therapy Sessions - $150.00
These are normally weekly sessions in our play therapy room.
Filial Therapy Session (Child Parent Relationship) - $150.00
A Filial therapy (Child Parent Relationship) session can be fortnightly or weekly sessions. The therapists will teach
you some of the play therapy skills, adapted for use at home, whereby you can better engage with your child.
The Marschak Interaction Method® - $450.00 based on one carer/parent.
During this structured observation technique, a caregiver and child complete a set of simple tasks designed to evaluate four dimensions of a healthy caregiver-child relationship: Structure, Engagement, Nurture and Challenge. The MIM assessment is recorded (session 1) and then evaluated by the therapist (session 2) in order to determine areas of weaknesses and strengths across the dimensions. The therapists’ recommendations for further treatment are then presented to the caregiver in a feedback session (session 3).
Note: The MIMs as a stand-alone intervention helps parents/careers gain valuable information from the tasks and feedback from it to help with interactions/behaviours.
Theraplay ® Session - $150.00
Each session is reviewed by the therapist prior to next session.
These are weekly sessions.
Trauma Focused Directive Play Therapy/Focused Directive Play Therapy - $150.00
Normally weekly sessions with child using directive and non-directive play therapy.
12 to 20 Therapy sessions in total.
Parenting TBRI Group or Individual Workshop/Sessions - $130.00 per session.
If a group cost is scaled depending on number of participants. Groups are kept small - 6 maximum.
Autplay - $150.00 per session
Weekly sessions with child using directive and non-directive play therapy specially targeted play using Autplay techniques.
The time/session will include carer/parent involvement to help child's progress in some sessions.
Supervision - Any mode - $120 per Session
Carer/Parent Interview and catch ups - $150.00
Saturday morning sessions are now available at our Hamilton Office and attract a surcharge of $25
on top of the above fee.
As a qualified counsellor and level 4 ACA (Australian Counselling Association) member NDIS funding
can be accessed through Hunter Play Therapy
Cancellations/No Shows/Payments
To not have the session tainted by presenting eftpos etc I email the invoice just before or after the session - as stated on the invoice the payment is required on the day
- to avoid sending reminders and making the therapeutic process uncomfortable around money.
NOTE: Late notice session canx (less than 48 hrs (2 business days) & no shows for appointments may be liable for the session fee.
The room reservation will be held for you each week whether you attend or not. The appointment time and day is yours, once set, and remains yours until therapy has ceased
and cannot be utlised by someone else therefore the cancellation policy.
